Are you a parent? Every child and teen can benefit from school breakfast. With today’s long commutes and busy schedules, many families just don’t have time in the morning to make sure their kids eat a nutritious breakfast. Teenagers, in particular, may find it hard to get up in time for a healthy meal. Breakfast at school is a free or low-cost option all families should consider. As a parent, you have the opportunity to work with your principal, school food service director and/or school board to make sure there’s breakfast at your school and to give input on the types of food that’s being offered. |
